Borsch has become so popular in Russia that many Russians consider it one of their national dishes.

It is a delicious soup that Russian people eat cold or hot depending on the season.

Borsch contains meat, tomato juice, beetroot, and vegetables such as carrots, cabbage, potatoes, parsnips, celery, onions and garlic.

It usually has either beef or sausage, but people can also make borsch using vegetables only.
